Apple Crisp

This recipe is Whole30, Paleo, Gluten, and Dairy Free.

Apple Crisp is a classic loved by all! This sugar free version is practically guilt free so go ahead and have that second piece! There is nothin like fresh, crisp apples paired with raisins and cinnamon topped with crunchy nuts. An apple pie lovers dream come true!

6-8 large apples, crispin or pink lady, cored, peeled and sliced thin
1/2 cup raisins
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups walnuts, chopped (can mix with pecans too)
1/2 cup ghee, room temperature
1/2 cup almond flour
1 tblsp arrowroot

Preheat oven to 350

Mix apples with cinnamon

Add raisins and toss

Pour into 8x8 square or 9" round pie dish

Mix walnuts, almond flour, salt & arrowroot in a bowl

Now mix in ghee - I crumble with my fingers

Pour topping over apples

Bake 45-50 minutes till apples are tender and top is golden
