Sausage & Peppers Sauce

This recipe is Whole30, Paleo, Gluten, and Dairy Free.

This delicious Sausage & Peppers Sauce is ready in 30 minutes and can be served over hearts of palm "spaghetti" to keep it Whole30 or your favorite cassava pasta for food freedom. If you are not doing Whole30 enjoy it over your favorite pasta! No matter how you enjoy it this sauce is a flavorful twist on the traditional bolognese and the family will love it! David said it tasted like pizza with sausage & peppers on top!


1 lb ground sausage
2 bell peppers, diced
1 cup onion, diced
2 tbsp olive oil
24 oz pasta sauce
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp basil
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
fresh basil for garnish, optional

Heat oil in 12" skillet
Add onion & sausage, breaking apart sausage till crumbly
Cook till sausage is no longer pink
Add peppers & all of the spices, stirring to combine
Add sauce & simmer 15 minutes
Garnish with fresh basil
Serve over your favorite pasta
