Southwest Seasoning

I love creating my own spice blends so I can make them with the perfect amount of saltiness, heat and overall flavoring! The best part, no nasty preservatives! It's so easy and you will love how versatile this southwest seasoning is. It is so amazing for marinating meats or adding to potatoes for an extra zing of flavor! The options are endless. My favorite is marinating flank steak with this seasoning, avocado oil and lime juice overnight and then grilling it and making Southwest Steak Salads! Yummmm!


INGREDIENTS

4 tbsp chili powder
1/4 cup cumin
1/4 cup smoked paprika
1/4 cup garlic powder
2 tbsp ground coriander
2 tbsp dried oregano
2 tsp salt
2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp chipotle (add more for extra heat)

DIRECTIONS

Add all ingredients in a bowl and stir to combine

I like to store them in old spice jars that I recycled and label them

They will stay fresh in a glass jar for up to a year
