Ingredients

  • 2.5 cups Organic rolled oats gluten-free
  • 1 cup Pecans, raw
  • 1/2 cup Almond slices
  • 1/2 cup Sunflower seeds, raw
  • 1/4 cup Pure maple syrup I like Simply Organic Maple
  • 1/4 cup Coconut sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract I like Primal Palate
  • 3 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Dark chocolate chips I like Hu Chocolate chips

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 325˚ and line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, coconut sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. Add the oats, pecans. almonds, sunflower seeds, and stir until the mixture is evenly coated.
  4. Spread the mixture onto the baking sheet and press it down firmly and evenly. I like to use my hands but you could also use a spatula.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the granola looks golden brown.
  6. Allow the granola to cool completely on the pan. It will crisp up as it cools. The waiting is the hardest part!
  7. Break into clusters and mix in the chocolate chips, if using.
  8. Enjoy!
