Hot Dog Chili Sauce

This hot dog chili sauce is a game changer! Smooth, finely ground beef thats thicker, slightly sweeter, seasoned perfectly, and made to not fall off the bun! We served them with gluten-free buns of course! Omit the buns to keep this recipe Whole30 and Paleo friendly.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb Ground beef I like Grass Roots
  • 15 oz Tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup Ketchup unsweetened
  • 1 Tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp Onion powder
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Chili powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1/2 tsp Paprika
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper

Method
 

  1. Add the ground beef to a warmed pan and break apart till the beef has no lumpy pieces and cooking till no longer pink.
  2. Sprinkle the spices into the beef and stir well.
  3. Pour in the tomato sauce, ketchup, and Dijon mustard stirring to combine.
  4. Simmer until the hot dog chili sauce gets thick. If necessary add an arrowroot slurry of 1 tsp arrowroot and 1 tsp water stirred then mixed into the sauce.
  5. Enjoy!
