This Whole30 Chili with beef, pork, and sweet potato is a protein-rich, thick, hearty, and bean-free stew loaded with savory ground meats, tender root vegetables, and bold chili spices. Trust me, you won’t miss the beans!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb Ground Beef I like Grass Roots
  • 1 lb Ground Pork I like Grass Roots
  • 2 Tbsp Avocado Oil
  • 2 cups Onion diced
  • 2 whole Sweet Potato medium-large in size, diced small
  • 1 whole Bell Pepper seeded and diced
  • 28 oz Fire Roasted Diced Tomatoes
  • 1 cup Beef Bone Broth I like Kettle & Fire
  • 1 whole Jalapeño seeded and diced, leave seeds in if you want it spicier
  • 1/4 cup Tomato Paste
  • 4 oz Green Chili Peppers
  • 4 Tbsp Chili Powder
  • 1 Tbsp Ground Cumin
  • 1 Tbsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Oregano dried
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper

Method
 

  1. Heat oil in a large soup pot.
  2. Add diced onions and sauté till translucent.
  3. Place the beef and pork into the pot, breaking apart and cooking till no longer pink.
  4. Add the diced sweet potatoes, diced tomatoes, tomato paste, beef broth, chili peppers, bell pepper, jalapeño, and spices.
  5. Simmer on low for one hour.
  6. Garnish with avocado slices, jalapeño slices, and lime wedges if desired.
  7. Enjoy!
