Method
- Combine in a food processor, nut butter, maple syrup, pecans, coconut oil, process till crumbly
- In a bowl, mix flour with nut butter mixture, using hands to knead together
- Press mixture into an 8 X 8 pan for thinner bars or 5 X 8 for a little thicker bars
- Freeze 5-10 minutes
- Meanwhile, melt chocolate in microwave or over a double boiler
- Remove from freezer and pour chocolate over, spreading with spatula to cover
- Sprinkle with flaky salt
- Freeze for another 10-15 minutes
- Cut into desired sized bars
- Best kept refrigerated or frozen
Notes
A drier, less creamy nut butter works best. I like Georgia Grinders.
