Ingredients

  • 1.25 lb Pork Steak I like Grass Roots Coop
  • 1 bunch Cilantro chopped, save some for garnishing
  • 1/4 cup Extra virgin olive oil I like Garcia De La Cruz
  • 2 whole Lime 1 lime juiced, I cut in wedges for serving
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 clove Garlic peeled, rough chop
  • 1 tsp Cumin I used a heaping teaspoon
  • 1 tsp Chili powder

Method

  1. Combine the cilantro, olive oil, garlic, lime juice and spice in a blender and blend till smooth.
  2. Pat your pork steak dry and place in a container for marinating.
  3. Pour the marinade over and flip the steak so both sides are covered in marinade. Marinate for at least 2 hours in the refrigerator.
  4. Heat your grill to medium high.
  5. Grill the pork steak for 6-8 minutes depending how thick it is. You want a good sear so don’t move it.
  6. Flip and grill for another 6-8 minutes or until it reaches 145˚ on the thermometer.
  7. Cover with foil and let rest 5 minutes before slicing.
  8. Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve with lime wedges.
  9. Enjoy!
