I also love to make this Cole Slaw with Avocado Lime Crema as the perfect side dish for this grilled pork. You might also like this grilled Carne Asada.

    Why You'll Love This Recipe

Such a great meal to enjoy through the entire grilling season either with family or gatherings with friends. The best part is it is easy enough to enjoy any night of the week!

    Ingredients You Will Need

Pork steak: is a cut of meat from the pork shoulder, often referred to as pork blade steak or Boston butt steak. I love Grass Roots Coop for all of their meats.

Extra virgin olive oil: is the least processed form of olive oil. Due to this, it retains its natural antioxidants and vitamins. I like Garcia De La Cruz.

Cilantro: has a flavor that is often described as bright, herbaceous, and citrusy.

Lime: are a small, green citrus fruit know for its sour taste and high vitamin C content.

Garlic: adds a savory note that enhances the dish with its bold and aromatic flavor.

Ground cumin: is known for its warm and earthy flavor that is derived from the dried seeds of the Cuminum Cyminum plant.

Chili powder: is a spice blend of dried chili peppers and other spices like cumin, garlic powder and oregano.

Salt and black pepper: salt enhances the overall flavor of the dish and ground black pepper adds a gentle heat.

    Instructions

Combine: the cilantro, olive oil, garlic, lime juice and spice in a blender and blend till smooth.

Pat the pork: dry with paper towels and place in a container for marinating.

Pour the marinade: over and flip the steak so both sides are covered in the marinade. Marinate for at least 2 hours in the refrigerator.

Heat your grill: to medium high.

Grill: the pork steak for 6-8 minutes depending how thick it is. You want a good sear so don’t move the steak.

Flip: and grill for another 6-8 minutes or until it reaches 145˚ at the thickest part.

Cover: with foil and let rest for 5 - 10 minutes before slicing.

Garnish: with chopped cilantro and serve with lime wedges.

    Enjoy!

    Recipe Tips and Tricks

Marinating: for a minimum of two hours is key to the most flavorful and juicy steak.

Double or triple recipe: depending on your needs as this one steak was easily devoured by my husband and I.

Make extra sauce: if you want some for serving as its tangy and so delicous!

    Recipe Variations

Pork chops or loin: are good substitutes for the pork steak. Adjust cooking time accordingly.

Chicken: is also a great choice to go with this marinade.

    Storage Tips

You can store this cilantro lime pork steak in the refrigerator for 4 days when placed in an airtight glass container.
