    Why You'll Love This Recipe

This Whole30 Coleslaw is also Paleo and Whole30 friendly. It is super easy having only five ingredients plus some spice. It is the perfect side for all your barbecues and it is the perfect topping for fish tacos.

    Ingredients You Will Need

Green Cabbage: also known as cannonball cabbage, is leafy, crunchy, cheap and nutritious.

Red Cabbage: or purple, this cabbage has a high concentration of antioxidants. It is just so pretty and a favorite of mine for all sorts of salads.

Carrot Sticks: are whole carrots that have been peeled, washed and precut for you and they add a natural sweetness to your dish.

Avocado Oil Mayonnaise: offers a unique creamy texture and a healthier fat profile, ideal for Whole30 Coleslaw.

Apple Cider Vinegar: a type of vinegar made from fermented apple juice that adds a fruity undertones to dishes like a summer slaw.

Salt and Pepper: salt enhances the overall flavor of the dish and ground black pepper adds a gentle heat.

Celery Seed: are tiny, dark brown seeds from the celery plant. They have a stronger flavor than celery and are perfect for adding to crunchy salads.

    Instructions

Whisk together: mayonnaise, vinegar, celery seed, salt and pepper, set aside.

In a large bowl: combine cabbage and carrots.

Pour mayonnaise mixture: over and toss well to combine into your Whole30 Coleslaw.

    Enjoy!

    Recipe Tips and Tricks

Time saver: shred the cabbage up ahead of time and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Make ahead: this coleslaw gets even better the second and third day so go ahead and make it ahead of time.

    Recipe Variations

Broccoli slaw: would be a good choice in place of the green cabbage, making a delightful Whole30 Coleslaw variation.

White vinegar: you could use this in place of apple cider vinegar in a pinch.

    Storage Tips

You can store this Whole30 Coleslaw in the refrigerator for up to 5 days when stored in an airtight container.

    FAQs About Whole30 Coleslaw

    Is coleslaw Whole30?

Absolutely! As long as you use ingredients that are compatible and omit sugar, your coleslaw will be Whole30.

What is the difference between cabbage slaw and coleslaw?

A cabbage slaw may use only cabbages whereas a coleslaw can have more than one type of shredded vegetable.
