    Buffalo Wings

    Jump to Recipe Print Recipe

Do you love Buffalo Wings? I could eat them once a week. This recipe is so easy and a classic version of what Buffalo Wings should be yet it's gluten-free and dairy-free, and no one will ever know! Serve them up with your favorite ranch dressing or my Creamy Dill Dressing or Chunky Bleu Cheese Dressing for dipping. Are you wing fans like we are? Be sure to check out some of my other wing recipes too like these Orange Chicken Wings or these Strawberry Chia Jam Balsamic Wings.

    Why You'll Love This Recipe

Only 5 ingredients: This recipe is easy with the perfect amount of heat, and gets devoured every single time I make it. There's no better way to enjoy buffalo wings, especially when you're making the best wings yourself.

    Ingredients You Will Need

Chicken wings: I prefer organic chicken wings that never receive antibiotics or hormones and are treated humanely. I love Grass Roots Coop for all my meats. You can use PENNYP to save.

Garlic powder: is best for when you want a milder flavor that will also coat meats easier, especially for wings when sautéing or quickly frying.

Paprika: unlike smoked paprika, it is a little sweeter.

Buffalo sauce: is a hot sauce enhanced with ingredients to make it richer and smoother than regular hot sauce. Noble Made is hands-down my favorite buffalo sauce, and it's also dairy-free. I love that it is sugar-free, whole30 approved, and you get to choose your own heat level. You can use pennysprimal15 to save.

Ghee: incorporating ghee into this sauce adds a rich, nutty flavor. I love Fourth and Heart ghee and you can use Pennysprimal15 to save.

    Instructions

Preheat oven: to 450˚ and line a rimmed pan with parchment paper.

Pat the wings dry: with paper towels and then place them on the pan not touching one another.

Sprinkle: with the garlic powder and paprika.

    Bake: for 45 minutes.

Meanwhile: put the buffalo sauce and ghee in a saucepan and heat just till the ghee melts. Stir and then turn off the heat to prepare buffalo wings for serving.

Remove the wings: from the oven and place in the saucepan a few at a time, tossing to coat with the sauce. Then return them to the sheet pan and bake for 15 minutes more.

Pour the extra sauce: in ramekin for dipping.

    Enjoy!

    Recipe Tips and Tricks

Make: the Creamy Dill or Chunky Bleu Cheese Dressing for dipping your buffalo wings. You won't regret using delicious dressings for your wings experience!

Don’t skip: the last 15 minutes of baking, as it really crisps up wings, making them perfect!

    Recipe Variations

Choose mild or hot buffalo sauce: from Noble Made if you prefer a less hot or more intense heat for your wings! Choosing different sauces can change the flavor of your favorite wings significantly.

    Storage Tips

You can store these buffalo wings in the refrigerator for 3-5 days when stored in an airtight glass container, keeping the wings fresh.

    FAQs About Buffalo Wings

How would you describe buffalo wings?

They are usually deep-fried chicken wings coated in a tangy and spicy buffalo sauce. Buffalo wings have a flavor that wings without buffalo sauce do not.

What is the difference between buffalo wings and regular wings?

The most common difference is the sauce they are cooked in. Buffalo wings were first introduced in Buffalo, New York, in the mid-1960's, which is why they received their name. Regular wings differ from buffalo wings mainly due to the recipes used.

What should I serve with buffalo wings?

Classic options are celery and carrot pieces with a dipping sauce like bleu cheese or ranch. Other great options include french fries, potato salad, coleslaw, or onion rings that pair well with wings.
